Profile Update

Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date faculty profile is crucial for any educational institution. It ensures that students, staff, colleagues, and other stakeholders can easily find the information they need. This guide is designed to assist faculty members in updating their information in faculty profiles efficiently and effectively.

Accessing the System (Cascade CMS)

Finding Your Profile

  • After logging in you’ll be brought to a customizable CMS dashboard. In the middle of the dashboard there’s a light-blue widget labeled “My Content”. Select the “Owned Content” tab on this widget to access your profile.

Reviewing and Editing Current Information

  • Take a moment to review your profile information.
  • To edit the information, click on “Edit” icon with the pencil.

When Editing

  • There are certain items that you might notice can’t be edited. These are items that the WNE feeds into the profiles from our institutional database. These items include:
    • Name
    • Photograph
    • Department (for each role at the university)
    • Position Title (for each role at the university)
    • Email Address
    • Phone Number
    • Office Location
  • There is a freeform text area where you can add such things as:
    • Education
    • Research Interests
    • Scholarly Works
    • Courses Taught
  • Upon completing your edits, click the blue button labeled “Preview Draft”.
  • After that, one last step is needed, which is to click the blue “Submit” button. Once this is done, the profile will enter the publishing queue, which runs every 4 hours, beginning at 12 noon.

Profile Photos

  • The Office of Marketing and External Affairs will provide a professional headshot for your profile. If you require one (or an update to an old photo) please reach out to luke.haughwout@wne.edu

Periodic Review

  • Stay proactive in maintaining the accuracy and relevance of your directory information.
  • Schedule regular intervals to review and update your profile, especially after significant changes such as promotions, research projects, or contact information updates.
